In Memorium – To my Sister

My sister, Valli Louise Dennis Schieltz, passed away on the morning of June 29, 2015. She fought a courageous battle against cancer, but it finally took her life. She was sixty-four years old. This photo of Val with her doll was taken outside a home on Harvard Road when we lived in Winston-Salem. That street was only one block over from our house. Val loved her dolls when she was growing up. It was a blessing for me to be able to edit her books and get them into print before she passed. She received proof copies several weeks ago. It seems like only yesterday when we were playing together at our grandmother’s home in Elizabeth, NJ. It’s almost unbelievable how fast time passes. Before you know it, loved ones are gone, and we are left with only memories. Val’s book, Valli’s Valley, contains a lot of photos, including some of our grandmother’s magnificent home. Clink the link and get one or both of her books. I will miss not hearing her voice and receiving her weekly calls. She is now without pain in her new home. Thank you for being a wonderful sister. God bless you....

Thy Will be Done!

I am now in my 3rd week of radiation therapy. I am due to have my final treatment on August 20th. I cannot have chemotherapy because it would probably kill me quicker than the radiation. However, Dr. P always reminds me that this is an aggressive, fast-growing cancer. I definitely want to do this for my family provided that the side effects are not overpowering. The main side effects from this radiation are nausea and diarrhea. They have been getting worse but NOTHING that Jesus and I can’t handle. My discharge date from this rehab. facility is set for August 8th. I am really getting excited! The truth of the matter is that I feel pretty good. I am anxious to get home and see Lucy, our dog. I really do not look like I am sick. I asked Jesus that I not outwardly show how BAD I am feeling on the inside. He has certainly honored my request. Everyone who sees me cannot believe I have terminal cancer. I have become somewhat popular on Twitter! I have about 150 followers. I am so excited! My followers mean more to me than a million dollars. You and I both know, do we not, that in order to help the poor in our local cities and towns, try to stay ahead of home repairs not to mention doctor and hospital bills, children needing money for college, pet paraphernalia and the list is as long as Methuselah is old! Seriously, I at least wanted to have a walk-in shower installed before going home. Also, the electrical system in our OLD house...

You’ve been Where?!

I guess I failed to keep my New Year’s resolution! So much has happened to me that I do not know quite where to begin. At the end of February I had my left foot operated on. It turned out that Dr. S removed an inclusion cyst that measured 17 cm across and it had tentacles just like one of the sea creatures that are found in the ocean depths. After a brief recuperation period, I was sent to the hospital’s physical therapy department. Briefly stated, I spent 6 extremely taxing days there until all the therapists and the doctors agreed that their program was simply too challenging for me. I was to be transferred to a local rehabilitation facility. I’m B — A — C– K!!! This was old turf to me! After all, this was my third trip to this facility. Oh, my, my room was all the way at the end of the hallway. That would never do, not a patient with a tracheostomy! It so happened that a few days after I had been there, something did not go as I had hoped so I told the social worker that I wanted to return home. The social worker and nursing supervisor coaxed me into staying. My room was changed to one closer to the nurses’ station, if you could call that close! Also, I would not have a roommate. Once more I was convinced! In May I was admitted to the hospital with respiratory distress. I pretty much hit the nail on the head – pneumonia again. The day before I left for the hospital,...

New Year’s Resolution

I am so sorry that I have neglected this blog for so long. All I can say is that I am a suffering servant of the Lord Jesus however willingly or not. I think that Jesus allows me to feel what different segments of the population are feeling such as the drug addict, the lonely and the schizophrenic. I think we should all make a new resolution for 2014. We should let God take the driver’s seat in our lives. However, don’t look for the dramatic or ostentatious to take place in your lives. Instead, try to listen for the still, small voice within your heart, and then follow what the Holy Spirit tells you. This will be our big task for this new year of 2014. God bless you all, thank you for following this blog and do not hesitate to take a look at my Ebook about the Final Battle. Follow the link on my website: www.armageddonguide.com. Love, joy and peace,...

Now is the Time…..

Now may be the time to think about the End Times. Just think about it – look at the radical changes in the weather. For the last two weeks, much of the United States experienced a deep freeze with some of the coldest temperatures on record and snow in the Deep South! Elsewhere around the globe there are some “hot spots” that will be worth our watching. Please pray for the safety of all athletes as the Olympics at Sochi draw closer. Do all of the above comments make you begin to focus on the End Times? We never know when that time may come but we should always remain vigilant and prepared. Take a look at my website at www.armageddonguide.com and feel free to take a look around. Make sure to get my Ebook about the End Times and learn how to prepare for its coming! Peace be with you all,...

There’s a NEW Breeze a Blowin’!

I am so sorry for neglecting my blog for so long. I have been in and out of hospitals since after Thanksgiving. I was just released from the hospital this past Wednesday. Since then, the Holy Spirit has inspired me to do something FRESH and NEW. You will hear more about it as soon as I get everything set up. I pray that the Lord’s words that He is having me write will help many struggling people. However, if only ONE soul is helped, it will be entirely worth it. May God bless you all! Peace and joy to you and I ask that you keep our newly elected pope, Pope Francis I, in your prayers....

Super Storm Sandy

Let us all pray for those who are and will be in the wake of this huge storm! I remember walking along the boardwalk from Bradley Beach to Asbury Park as a girl because my grandmother ran a boarding house at Bradley Beach. One of my friends who lives in New Jersey showed a picture of a shark swimming in the yard! We really have to take a step back and think is this a SIGN of the tribulation that is to come? Let us all over the world be faithful to God and maybe He will relent in things that are to come. I want to share a piece from “Meet Me in the Meadow”. There is so much we can meditate on! I shall be FIRST in your LIVES!

Too often we let ourselves be caught up in material things and not the things that will last. Do you often think that you want bigger, newer or greater things? If it were not for God’s goodness toward you, then you would have nothing. We must acknowledge that everything comes from the Lord. It is nothing we have done. Often God will open doors for you for new opportunities and you may think to yourself, “Well, how could that be?” All the time it was the Lord working behind the scenes so that certain doors could open for you. When it comes right down to it, we must thank the Lord for everything we have. If we are careful to do that, and if we make God the #1 Person in our lives, then when the time comes for the mark of the beast – 666 – we will be able to resist more easily because Jesus is King of your heart. God is a jealous God. He wants you all to Himself. Seek him with all your heart. He is UNCHANGING. People may come and go, but God is UNFAILING! Things in this world are fleeting. Our treasures are in Heaven. Let us all hearken to His...

Patience is a VIRTUE!

There will be many times in the course of our lives when our patience will be tested. Will we simply give in to our passions or will we try to imitate Jesus? At times, it may be quite difficult to do the right thing. Jesus, although He is the second Person of The Blessed Trinity or God Himself, He still took on our human nature. Certainly He must have had His struggles, but Jesus always did His Father’s will. Can’t we see by the things that are happening around us that the End Times are growing closer? Just look at the massacre that took place in Aurora, Colorado. So many were killed at an innocent opening of Batman. What will be next? Things here on this earth seem to be going from bad to worse. Raging wild fires, droughts, floods, so many crops ruined due to the weather and the list goes on! Just read the signs of the times. Meanwhile, I have said that I am sure many of us are in the same boat. One or even two paychecks just will not work any more. More and more people are turning to the Internet to try to earn some extra money. However, with so many SCAMS out there, you may end up LOSING more than you’re making! That is why I have been searching for an honest, easy and straightforward way of making money. Don’t be fooled for a minute that all you have to do is click your mouse a few times, and you will be making thousands of dollars. That just will never happen. Was...

LISTEN to the LORD’S VOICE!!!!!

We must all take time to listen to the Lord speaking to us no matter how busy our outward lives seem to appear. Inside of us, we must try to maintain a gentle calmness that only the Lord can provide! As we all have come to realize, there are many signs that we are heading full steam ahead toward the End Times. We cannot let this worry us, however, because as is stated in the Gospel of Mark: Chapter 13:verses 12 through 13, “But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but ONLY the Father.” All of us should just keep on doing what we always do as long as it is within the Will of God. I pray that all of us try to quiet ourselves so that we will be able to hear the Lord’s Voice when He attempts to speak to us. I have always loved this passage in the Old Testament, “And behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?”—1 Kings 19:11-13. … As, therefore, the Lord spake to Elijah not by earthquake, nor wind, nor fire, but by the still small voice”. We all know that economies throughout the world are beginning to collapse; it is not just in the United States alone. As I have told you, due to the lowering of the dollar and everything getting so expensive, I have been searching all over the Internet for some kind of legitimate opportunity to earn some extra income. As I searched and searched, I became more and more...
