Armageddon is upon Us!

Many of us may not even know or understand what Armageddon means. According to the dictionary it is defined as, “the place where the final battle will be fought between the forces of good and evil (probably so called in reference to the battlefield of Megiddo. Rev. 16:16).” As I watched the news and saw the devastation in Japan, one news reporter said the scene looked like something out of the Apocalypse. How close are we to the end times? Perhaps St. Matthew says it best in Chapter 24;verses 7 and 8,”7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Are you prepared for that last day when all will be turmoil and chaos? Can you not see the signs of the times? There have been so many natural disasters – fires, earthquakes, floods, droughts, famines…. How else can Jesus gain our attention? His Heart cries out and He finds no solace. The author of this blog firmly believes that there is a remnant of the faithful who are praying that this terrible day will not come. If it does, and it will, the faithful will be part of the remnant that will be snatched up to Heaven and will avoid the wrath to come. Will you be one of...

Sorrow, Devastation Everywhere!

My heart goes out to the Japanese people as they have just experienced the devastating earthquake that measured 8.9 on the Richter Scale followed by the twenty foot wall of water that rushed in and carried debris and people away. My people, these are all pointing to the signs of Armageddon. The End Times are upon us. Are we blind that we cannot read the signs of the times? We are enduring earthquakes all over the world, floods, wild fires that char hundreds and thousands of acres and burning up homes that lie in their path! So many people believe in no God and no devil. Church attendance has dropped off. The devil is having his last field day. Soon he will be chained by the Lord Almighty and thrown into the everlasting pit of fire. Our Blessed Mother, Mary, weeps to see all that is happening upon the Earth. Confess your sins in your heart for we “know not the day nor the hour”. Let us form an army for Our Lord for the forces of Evil are at work. Let us stand with Jesus as the apocalypse nears. We must all be prepared to endure suffering and even martyrdom for the Lord as He gave His Life so readily for...

How Long, Oh Lord?

Sometimes I think in my heart that the End Times are so near, but yet the days seem to drag on. Just think of some of the things happening in the world. In the United States alone, since abortion became legalized in 1973, over 46 million babies have been murdered and ripped from their mother’s wombs. Their pure little souls are now up in Heaven enjoying the Beatific Vision. Then there was the devastating earthquake in Haiti and just recently in Christ’s Church, New Zealand. Look at the unrest now taking place in Libya. The whole Middle East is a powder keg just waiting to explode. Our Lord Jesus looks upon these things as does God the Father. Mary, the Mother of Jesus, finds it difficult to hold Her Son’s arm back much longer. Things cannot go on this way. Will next year be the time of Armageddon? What will you do? Where will you be? Have you heard that only those who wear the mark of the beast – 666 – will be able to buy and sell? Will you denounce this and be a soldier for Christ or will you give in and be a part of the devil’s army? These are all some deep issues that all of us must face before the actual time comes lest you be caught off guard. The earth as we know is fading away and a new dawn is breaking. What are your thoughts on this subject of the...

Alone in the Desert

Alone in the Desert I realize I may be veering off the subject somewhat, but I thought this may be a good time to add one of my very first experiences in the Carmelite Monastery. Sometimes my heart still longs to be there because it was there where I felt closest to the Lord Jesus. However, no matter what state of life we happen to be in, we can still cultivate that close relationship with Him. I entered the Monastery of Discalced Carmelites in Anywhere, U.S.A. in August of 1969. Little did I know that the Lord was going to place a great cross upon my shoulders. Mine is a story about the will and determination of the soul to go on no matter how the odds are stacked against her. Shortly after I entered the monastery I began to get sick. As the days wore on, my throat became sorer and my glands became swollen. When I went to kneel down and kiss the floor before entering the chapel as was our custom, I felt that my throat was going to pop out of my neck and that my head was going to explode. At that point I did not know what to do. Should I wait it out until it passed or should I go to the mother prioress and tell her that I was sick? I finally decided to say something to the mother prioress because I was getting no better. The doctor was called in to the monastery to see me. He examined me and felt that I had a generalized infection and prescribed injections...

Be Prepared

You may be asking, “How are we to prepare for the turmoil that lies ahead?” That is a very valid question since the enemy has tricked so many innocent people that he (the devil) really does not exist. Just as he tricked Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, and she gave some to Adam because the enemy said they would be like gods! Then their eyes were opened and they were thrown into turmoil. The enemy is so sly at trickery. Again, how are we to get ready for the battle of Armageddon that will take place? First of all, we must be right with Jesus in our hearts. Sin weighs us down and we become farther away from God, our Father. We must make an inward act of sorrow in our hearts like our Protestant friends or go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation like Catholics do. The author would like to state right here that she believes at the End Times that we shall all come together as one religion. As for now, we are all traveling along different roads to reach our final destination which is Heaven and to be one with Jesus Christ. We must also live every day like it will be our last for we do not know the day or the hour. We certainly do not want to be one of those who will be Left Behind to face the tribulation that is to be unleashed upon this Earth. There is no need to worry about the upcoming battle between Good and Evil because it is the opinion of this author that the...
